My Projects
During the development of Below the Deck we decided to swap from Unreal Engine 5 to Godot 4 after making our prototype. Because of this, I had to learn how to use Godot 4 in a short amount of time. I spent a week to two weeks doing online tutorials to learn how to use the new engine in both 2D and 3D to familiarise myself with Godot and how the engine functions.

In Below The Deck you are trapped on an old fishing boat forced to play card games with the ship's strange captain.

Over the course of the project I worked on the prototyping of the card game, importing assets, tutorialization, recording of feedback, creation and upkeep of a Game Design Document, playtesting, card conceptualisation and balancing, audio design, and writing dialogue.

Producer and Game Designer
In Pinball Hysteria you are trapped in an abandoned arcade forced to play on a talking pinball machine that becomes increasingly nightmarish as you upgrade it.
Over the course of the project I worked on my skills as a producer and game designer. I worked on concepting, gameplay design, level design, audio design, upkeep of a Game Design Document, importing assets, playtesting, point and price balancing.

During the development of Pinball Hysteria I had to learn to be a producer and lead a development team over a course of multiple months. At the beginning of the project the team was disjointed and only working in sects, we overcame this problem of feeling like multiple smaller teams by having frequent meetings between the leads of each development branch, leading to a more unified development process.
During the development of The Friendly Colossus I had to learn how to tutorialise specifically for puzzles, and had to introduce new mechanics in a way that was understandable, intuitive, and fun for players. For one of the puzzles, The Human must use The Colossus's hand as a platform to reach a different platform they couldn't before, and the higher platform blended in slightly to the background, so we decided to add a glowing ring to the bottom of the floating platforms to both indicate a supernatural reason for the floating platforms, which links to the supernatural setting, and to make it obvious to the player where they need to go.
